Somsak Sengta and his Trash Idol team have announced a pair of dates for 2019’s Luang Prabang city-wide clean up.

With an eye on waxing up the UNESCO site after and before high season for tourists, the dates are Friday, 26 April, and Friday 27 September.
Some 1,250 Luang Prabang residents turned out for World Clean Up Day in September 2018 to rid the UNESCO World Heritage City of rubbish, but Trash Idol wants to add dates. (Read the story).
This year, Trash Idol is aiming for 1,800 volunteers from school kids to community members to hotels for each of the two dates.
