More than a dozen Lao attractions and tourism business took home ASEAN Standards Awards from the ASEAN Together Forum 2020 held in Brunei from 12-16January.
Vat Phou Temple in Champassak Province and Vat Xiengthong Temple in Luang Prabang landed Sustainable Tourism Standard Awards, while Vientiane received an award in the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Standard category.
Five Lao properties nailed down ASEAN Green Hotel Standard Awards, including the Pullman Luang Prabang, Inthira Vang Vieng, Namkat Yorla Pa Resort in Oudomxay, Pou Villa Resort in Luang Namtha, and the Paksong Danngarm Hotel in Champassak.
The Pullman Luang Prabang also grabbed an ASEAN MICE Venue Standard Award, as did the Crowne Plaza Vientiane, the National Convention Centre, Champassak Grand Hotel, and the Cultural Hall in Savannakhet Province.
