Lao Airlines has scaled back its direct service on the Vientiane – Shanghai route, from four to one day a week, but aims to increase the operation to three weekly flights on 19 May.
As reported by We Are Lao, Lao Airlines launched a weekly nonstop service on 29 January 2019 on board Airbus A320 aircraft. (Read full story).
They increased operations to four times a week on 27 February. However, they cut the service to three weekly flights in the second-half of March 2019, and then to once a week from 29 March-17 May. From 19 May, the airline will again operate this route 3 times a week.
Flight QV865 departs Vientiane at 18:55 and arrives in Shanghai at 23:05 local time on board and Airbus A 327. The return flight leaves Shanghai’s Pudong Airport at 00:10 and arrives at Wattay Airport in the Lao capital at 03:20 local time.
