Cultural Sojourn at Sanakeo Luang Prabang

Immerse yourself in a 3-night Cultural Sojourn at Sanakeo Luang Prabang. This special package runs US$345 per person for a single traveller and US$495 for two sharing a twin room, and includes an experiential 4-day itinerary. 

Day 1

Welcome to Luang Prabang and the Sanakeo Boutique Hotel, where our staff will present Lao culture. You’ll participate in a traditional Baci Ceremony conducted by village elders to greet you and wish you good luck during your stay. As the evening approaches, join in the poolside canapé reception, with a selection of finger food and one free Sanakeo House Cocktail…possibly a lemon-grass mojito or lime and ginger ‘drop’. For those in the partying spirit, you can enjoy an all-night Happy Hour with beer and selected cocktails. 

Day 2

After breakfast, drive in an air-con bus to the must-see Kwangsi Waterfalls in full Green Season flow, and a dip in its pools (towel provided). You’ll visit the Free the Bears sanctuary located within the falls grounds. Return to the Sanakeo Boutique Hotel for a buffet lunch, and take time to relax before an afternoon Mekong cruise to the famed Pak Ou Caves. The return “Sunset Cruise” comes with beer, soft drinks, and Lao snacks. That night, enjoy a Lao feast featuring the freshest of Luang Prabang produce buffet style. And of course…Happy Hour.

Day 3

The fun continues with a bus transfer to Nam Dong Water Park and a world of nature trails and swimming holes. You’ll have a set lunch at Hillside Resort. Then, it’s time to return to your room before a free evening to explore the famed Night Market, and Luang Prabang’s “Old Town”.

Day 4

Wake up at dawn for the traditional Buddhist Tak Bak morning alms-giving ceremony, when 100 monks pass by the hotel. You can offer alms in the form of food items during the daily ritual. The rest of the day gives you free time to explore the amazing UNESCO World heritage listed city, before your flight.
