Bangkok Airways introduces double daily services on the Bangkok-Vientiane route effective 25 March.
TTR Weekly is reporting that the additional daily flight will depart Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport at 1735 and will arrive in Vientiane’s international airport at 1850.
The return flight PG940 will depart Vientiane International Airport at 1935 and will arrive in Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 2050.
The airline launched its first daily service to Vientiane in December 2012 with a morning flight that departs Bangkok at 0945.
It currently uses a 138-seat Airbus A319 aircraft on this route.
A check of fares on Skyscanner for the Bangkok-Vientiane route, early April, offers a roundtrip fare on Bangkok Airways at THB 5,555. Expedia offers a fare just one baht cheaper.
Lao Airlines consistently has the cheapest roundtrip fare at around THB 5,106, while Thai Smile has the highest fare at around THB 5,706 before tax and surcharges.
