The Weaving Sisters
We are Katu people from Salavan province and have years of weaving experience. We started our business in 2015 after working in Luang Prabang for a few years. Traditionally, Katu weaving has specific colour scheme, but we have adopted a wider choice of colours to suit customer preferences. As back-strap weavers, we can work anywhere, because each of us is the loom. We also sell items like jungle vine bags made by different ethnic groups, who live in more remote areas and who have few visiting buyers.

Naga Creations
“Naga Creations” is a Laotian handicraft and jewelry workshop, with two retail outlets on the main street. The range of products is very wide: from inexpensive and crafty hilltribe accessories to high-end jewelry. Since 2004, Lao artisans have created unique items inspired by the cultural heritage of Luang Prabang. Discerning shoppers will find quality handmade silverware, as well as more contemporary pieces blending precious metals, tribal fabric and Asian gemstones. Cherry on top: the salesgirls are artisans themselves, so they can fix and customize anything for you on the spot, so you can express your own creativity!
