Lao Skyway offers direct daily flights departing from Vientiane at 14:50 and arriving at 16:20

Lao Airlines offers 14 direct weekly flights to Pakse International Airport departing Vientiane at 07:10, 7:50, 8:10, and 10:30, depending on the day, for the 75-minute trip. The carrier offers a daily direct flight from Luang Prabang departing at 10:40 and arriving at 12:20.

Lao Airlines also offers international routes to Pakse including daily flights from Siem Reap at 14:40, and on Tuesday and Thursday at 10:45. The airline departs Ho Cho Minh City at noon on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and five days a week from Bangkok at 13:40.

Local and express busses head to Pakse Town 12 times a day from Vientiane’s Southern Bus Terminal (LAK110,000-140,000), and arrive 10-13 hours later. VIP sleeper busses depart Vientiane at 20:00 and 20:30 (LAK170,000), and arrive the next morning. Busses are also available from Savannakhet, Khamouanne, Attapeu, and Salavan Provinces.

International busses and minivans arrive from Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand, as well as Vietnam (Da Nang, Hue) and Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Visas on arrival are available. Contact tour operators for departure times and prices, and to book your ride.
