Le Calao Restaurant Celebrates October

Luang Prabang’s Le Calao Restaurant is celebrating International Chefs Day and Boun Ork Phansa (End of Buddhist Lent) with Chef Khamphaeng’s Tasting Menu from 20-25 October, with free Kratongs for the Light Boats Festival on the final day.

Chef Khamphaeng has created a set menu with eight of his grandmother’s original dishes for LAK 165,000. On the table you’ll find favourites like sweet and sour tom yam kung soup, koille kai minced chicken salad, and pork lakou stew.

On the 25th, for every meal purchased, the Mekong Riverside restaurant will provide a kratong to illuminate and float during the full-moon Light Boats Festival.
